My precious puppy had to leave today. I miss her so much. She was 18 yrs this month.
God gave her to me for a time and is a gift I always treasure. Good bye, little goose.

~New Puppy! (What Was I Thinking!)~
A Saturday trip to the pet store for dog food for our current dog, Tess, lead to a crazy decision.
See, Tess (my dog) will be 18 yrs old this month and the kids have been wanting a dog of their own. They preferred a dog for each of them (like that's gonna right now-good grief!) but miraculously they both liked this one. So after a phone call to Dad who was working, we adopted Buddy from CNC Rescue. CNC Rescue is in the business of rescueing animals (cats and canines) from shelters that euthanize the animals (yikes!). The kids originally called him Bud (with our last name?!), after a small suggestion they were happy to settle on Buddy.
Buddy has been a bit under the weather with a cold but is quickly making up for the down time. After some sleepless nights for me, we are adjusting. Buddy is fairly calm aside from puppy busyness and sweet natured. His mother is a Catahoula mix and the father is unknown. The vet assured us there is no Rottweiler in him but suspects German Shepherd or even Miniature Pincher.

First day home and tuckered out. Awww.
Newest chew toy (got it just about 30 mins ago).
He carries it everywhere!
